Head Dog Trainer,
Dr. Cathy Klein
Dr. Cathy Klein’s journey is marked by unwavering dedication, passion, and personal transformation. A standout in collegiate soccer, she earned two All-American honors and proudly represented Canada as a member of the National Women’s Soccer Team. After her athletic career, Cathy channeled her drive and leadership into coaching at five prestigious universities, mentoring hundreds of student-athletes and guiding them toward success both on and off the field.
Earning her PhD in 2007, Cathy became a respected college professor, shaping lives through her teaching and mentorship. However, a family member’s life-altering health crisis led her back to Canada, igniting a profound career shift. With her enduring passion for teaching, coaching, and making a difference, Cathy turned her focus to developing holistic educational resources in the dog training field, where her compassion and expertise could create an even greater impact.
Recognizing a critical gap in mental health support, Cathy dedicated herself to mastering dog training and holistic development for pets and their humans. As a puppy program manager and service dog trainer, she helped train over 400 service and emotional support dogs along with their families. Now, as the owner of her own business serving local communities near Dundas, Ontario, her goal is to develop as many exceptional dogs as possible. If you aspire to train your dog as an emotional support companion or to exhibit the calm demeanor of a service dog, you’ve found your trainer. With over a decade of experience and an ever-expanding knowledge base, Cathy has transformed the lives of more than 600 dogs—puppies, rescues, and older dogs—and the people who care for them.
A Holistic Approach to Pet Care
Cathy’s pet care business offers a comprehensive range of services, including puppy training, rescue and older dog training, board-and-train programs, emotional support dog training, and “act like a service dog” training, as well as dog walking and pet sitting. Her unique blend of experience as a coach, educator, and dedicated dog mom positions her as an authority on transforming the relationships between dogs and their owners into life-changing partnerships.
